Environmental Control:Foot Dip Pans

PronTech is your best choice for foot dip pans. It has been proven that using foot dip pans is an excellent way to help prevent the spread of outside diseases from entering inside your facilities. Dry Bleach Powder is a common practice but it has its limitations. When exposed to sun it loses its potency, not to mention it does not penetrate the crevices of your tread to reach the hard to reach areas where potential threats could be lurking. Liquid foot baths are much more efficient. PronTech has the ability to work in a wide range of environmental conditions. PronTech is active in cold and hot weather as well as in the presence of organic matter. That makes it the ideal product to use for foot baths. Not only is it effective in those conditions it is also environmental friendly. 99% biodegradable, PronTech is not going to harm your land and can be easily disposed. By using quat test strips you can always make sure you are maintaining your desired ppm(parts per million rate of disinfection). With Bird Flu bio-security measures being put into place be sure to consider PronTech when thinking about your foot bath dip pans.

Environmental Control

When asked recently what is an area of broiler production that I believe is overlooked the most that can easily be improved, I thought for a second and responded with Water Line Sanitation. Water line sanitation is not difficult but often times overlooked or not done at all because trying to clean your water lines often creates new problems that many growers do not want to risk. The problem is in the water line cleaners they have been using. You see these water line cleaners are usually made up of Hydrogen Peroxide. Hydrogen Peroxide is a dangerous chemical to handle. In high concentrations it is flammable, it can cause burns on your skin, and and can cause all kinds of problems to the actual water line system. When pumped in with a medicator, hydrogen peroxide with corrode the diaphragm inside the medicator pump reducing its effectiveness. Then if left inside the water lines for too long of a period the hydrogen peroxide will begin to damage the pipes, the watering pins, and any rubber gaskets it comes into contact with. This all happens because hydrogen peroxide is an extremely strong oxidizer. It burns it way through anything it comes in contact with. Manufacturers would have you believe that it does not damage your equipment just the bio-film and bacteria within your system, but common sense tells you that this is just not true. These issues are why no one wants to clean their systems out. However with PronTech you no longer have to worry about these dangerous issues. PronTech is not an oxidizer. PronTech chemically bonds with the bio-film to remove the build up. It penetrates crevices to neutralize pathogens that live within the watering system to help give your livestock clean water to consume. For more information on how to properly use PronTech to sanitize your watering system please contact me at bwilson@upitrading.com. I will help to answer any of your questions and hopefully help you increase your production numbers by helping you to improve your water quality.

BioSecurity: Cleaning and Disinfecting

To properly disinfect a surface it must be cleaned first.  A dirty surface cannot be disinfected.  That is why we have developed CleanTech.  It is a non-ionic cleaner that helps to remove dirt, buildup, biofilm, and other debris from surfaces.  CleanTech is specifically designed to work in connection with PronTech.  Using the two products together you can be sure that your facility, whether it is a hatchery, processing plant, or poultry house is cleaned and disinfected.  For more information contact us at info@upitrading.com or contact me at bwilson@upitrading.com.

Poultry Industry Is Changing

As the Poultry Industry changes so must be the way those within the industry view certain practices. One of those is the use of antibiotics.  With the reductions in the use of antibiotics, individuals within the industry must be much more aware of the environment that birds are exposed to.  Hatcheries need to be more sanitary, as well as farms, and drinker lines.

PronTech can help protect your flock and your investment while being safe to your employees and friendly to the environment.  Contact me at bwilson@upitrading.com for more information.

Washing Fertilized Eggs

Washing fertilized eggs has been a no no within the poultry industry for years. Common thought within the industry was that exposing an egg to water could contaminate the egg. Not only was this a concern so was the thought that if you used the wrong product to wash the egg you could clog the pores of the egg. Eggs need to breath and preventing this could cause damage to the embryo. With PronTech you no longer have to fear either of these scenarios. PronTech cleans and sanitizes the egg shell while not leaving behind any build up or thick film. Clean eggs mean a clean hatchery. That means you have less egg explosions in your setters, you have less disease outbreaks due to contamination from the farm, and more of your fertile eggs get to be placed in your setters. Using PronTech to treat your eggs is a your smart and safe choice.
